Description

Performs clinical laboratory testing aiding the physician in the crucial role of detection, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES
• Demonstrates the ability to use a personal computer and various software programs applicable to the position
• Demonstrates the ability to operate applicable office equipment and telephones
• Exhibits the ability to deal effectively interdepartmentally & with the public
• Exhibits the ability to maintain confidentiality, think and act independently with minimal supervision
• Maintains regular, consistent and punctual attendance at the assigned job location
• Demonstrates a general knowledge of standard medical laboratory techniques, procedures, and safety precautions
• Displays high level organizational skills including ability to multi-task and critically think
• Must have legible handwriting

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor of Science degree/Associate of Science degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science - REQUIRED
  • 6 months working knowledge of, but not limited to: LIS and HIS computer systems,  specialized automated analyzers, centrifuges, pipettors, microscopes and Pevco pneumatic system - REQUIRED
  • Will consider a Medical Lab Scientist or Medical Lab Tech
