Description

Coordinate and participate in the administration of respiratory therapy modalities to adult, adolescent, pediatric, infant, and newborn patients with respiratory related difficulties in accordance with physician’s instructions. The registered therapist must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s requirements relative to his/her age, specific needs and to provide the care needed as described in the unit’s departmental policies and procedures. Reports to the Director of Respiratory Services and receives input from the Charge Therapist.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
  • Graduate from an accredited Respiratory Care Program with a A.A.S. or B.S. degree in Respiratory Care - REQUIRED
  • COVID and FLU Vaccine - REQUIRED
  • 1 year acute care experience - Preferred
  • Experience with adult, pediatric and new born patients - Preferred
  • Will accept new grads (bonus may be lower)
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

STATE LICENSE REQUIREMENTS
  • Virginia
