Description

This is typical Monday-Friday clinic work plus call.

Call Requirements:

  • Practice Call? Yes
  • Inpatient Call? Yes
    • If so, is rounding included? Yes
  • Will they be expected to see patients in the practice? Yes

Procedures:

  • If so, are there scheduled days/times for procedures? Only urgent inpatient needs
  • What types of procedures? C-Section, emergent D&C

Job description:

  • Do they see Peds?  No
  • Types of Cases? Laboring and postpartum mom’s as well as emergent GYN cases through the ER
  • What support staff is available to them? L&D, ER staff
  • Are you open to locum to perm candidates, or locum coverage only?  Either
  • Do they need to be local, or are you willing to see candidates that would have to fly in? no need to be local open to either
  • Our 2019 c-section rate was 16% and YTD is 3.3%
  • Do they have midlevel backup? no
  • Midwives? No
  • # of permanent docs in the group? Delivering doctors-3, total physicians-5
  • Level Nursery? Level 2
  • How many deliveries on average per month? Ranges from 35-60 per month
  • How many calls do they usually get over an average weekend? Several calls per day is typical (2-10)
  • When searching for this candidate is there a minimum number of deliveries you would want them to be doing each year? We would prefer at minimum 25-30/year
  • EMR: Cerner
  • Two hospital locations
  • Traditional birth or midwife birth options
  • Hospital-employment
  • Surgical expertise, surgeries scheduled as needed, surgery team on-call to assist
  • Busy, established practice with experienced providers and support staff
  • Collaborative team of 7 OBGYN employed physicians
  • Business hours vary from 7am to 7pm (can be flexible) average 20-30 patients/day
  • 24-hour in-house pediatric hospitalist service
  • High risk patients/deliveries referred out
Compensation
- Competitive base salary plus wRVU production bonus after threshold achieved
- Signing bonus, relocation stipend, student loan reimbursement all negotiable as part of a full compensation package
- 200 Hours of vacation/CME, 6 major holidays with 48 total hours of holiday pay, sick leave accrual up to 600 hours
