Job Description:
- Full-time (1.0 FTE) or part-time (0.8 FTE) employment available
- Regularly seeing patients in outpatient non-invasive cardiology clinic at Robbinsdale, Maple Grove, and outreach sites. This will involve seeing new and follow-up patients. Provider must be willing to travel to all locations.
- Participating in the inpatient cardiology rounding service. Non-Invasive Cardiology call rotation Q7 - Weeknight call 5:00 pm-8:00 am, Weekend call 24 hours
- Participating in the noninvasive cardiology call schedule.
- Participating in reading rest/stress echoes and nuclear studies; performing TEEs and cardioversions.
- The Non-Invasive Cardiologist provides direct patient care in the clinic and hospital setting and examines and treats patients with cardiovascular disorders and diseases.
- Consult with customers and their families to determine the appropriate course of treatment and recommend and order tests to help diagnose the condition and/or determine the extent of the illness.
- Work with a health care management team to provide continuity of care and unmatched customer service to our cardiology patients.
- Perform general cardiology duties as assigned in support of the Blaze cardiology group, including but not limited to: cardiology call coverage, responding to emergent cardiac cases (as appropriate), inpatient rounding, clinic services, outreach services, reading cardiac imaging, and other responsibilities consistent with training and medical staff privileging.
- Level 1 Trauma Center
- Average Number of Clinic Patients Per Day: 12-14
- Average Number of Inpatient Admissions Per Physician Per Day: Not responsible for direct admissions, Hospitalists will handle admissions, 5-10 consults per day
- Number of Cardiologists Physician in Group: 17
- Will the Locum Physician be Required to Supervise Other Health Care Providers? APPs will support rounding and will need supervision; also supervise stress tests cardiac rehab as needed
- Patient Age Demographic: Adult
- Smaller, independent organization that offers a high level of provider autonomy
- Established collaborative and collegial Cardiology Team with great area reputation
- Full spectrum cardiac imaging modalities
- Busy structural heart program offering TAVR, TEER and LAAC
- 4 State-of-the-art Cath Labs (2 Interventional labs, 2 EP labs)
- Labs directly adjacent to provider offices and primary clinic location
- Experienced lab staff
- Excellent anesthesia support
- Comprehensive cardiac surgery program
- APP Support in both inpatient & outpatient services
- Treat a wide range of heart and vascular disorders
- Procedures Required: Echocardiography, Transesophageal Echocardiography, Electrical Cardioversions, Electrocardiograms (EKGs), Treadmill Stress Tests, Chemical Stress Tests, Echocardiography, Transesophageal Echocardiography
- Outpatient offices conveniently located at both hospitals
- Outreach clinics in western and eastern suburbs

Board Eligible (within 5 years of eligibility) or Board Certified in Cardiology - REQUIRED
MN License (or willing to obtain) - REQUIRED
DEA Verbal Confirmation (by time of start) - REQUIRED
CT training - HIGHLY PREFERREDACLS (prior to start) - REQUIRED
