Description

Job Description:

  • Open to 4-day or 5-day work week.  40 hours per week, 34 patient facing hours.
  • Call is 1 in every 13 weeks, weeklong call from Monday evening to the following Monday morning.  Phone calls only, they never have to go in for anything.  The amount of calls vary – obviously during things like flu season, etc they are higher.  Hard to gauge because it varies, and because the call schedule is shared amongst several offices it is less frequent, but you are taking calls for all the offices in the group.

  • APP collaboration at practice site may provide additional source of compensation.
  • Opportunities for physician leadership/administrative work are available for those interested (SPHPMA & IHANY committees, JOCs, etc.).
  • Opportunities for teaching 1st year AMC students as well as precepting NP/PA students are plentiful within the medical group.
  • St. Peter’s Rensselaer Health Center provides a full range of health care services for the entire family, including pediatric medicine for newborns through age 17: well-child visits (routine, school, sports, and camp physicals); immunizations; adolescent health; sick visits by appointment; ADHD care; and hospital / ER follow up.
  • Adult medicine services for established patients include routine care for illness, injury, and chronic medical conditions; preventive health and wellness screenings; routine immunizations and preventive inoculations; routine physicals (including employment, insurance, and school physicals); and sick visits by appointment.
  • This practice also offers refugee health assessments in conjunction with the New York State Department of Health. Clinical social workers are onsite for consultation, assessment, and referrals.
  • Open to upcoming 2025 graduates and recent graduates working toward BC
  • Not accepting Locums candidates
