Mercy Medical Center is seeking Locum Radiation Oncologist  to help with ongoing coverage starting October 2024 through summer 2025Practice Setting: inpatient and outpatientReason for Coverage: gaps while we recruitDates of Coverage:  October 2024 through summer 2025Call Ratio: every other weekNumber of Physicians in Practice:  2Will There be Other Radiation Oncologists Present During Locum Tenens Coverage?  yesHow Many APPs Provide Coverage?  1Average Number of Patients Per Day - OUTPATIENT (Clinic/Office) : 25Average Number of Patients Per Day - INPATIENT  (Call/Rounding) : variable 1 per weekPatient Population for Required Coverage: Adult, Office/Clinic, Hospital BasedDocumentation System/EMR: meditech/ mosaiqEstimated Credentialing Timeframe:  60 days approx.Provider Must be local - only mileage is reimbursed Required Procedures:  Conventional Radiotherapy3D Radiotherapy3D conformal, IMRT, SBRT and SRS (No brachy needed)External Beam Radiation - 3D-CRTExternal Beam Radiation - IGRTExternal Beam Radiation - IMRTStereotactic RadiosurgeryStereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT)Fractionated Stereotactic Radiotherapy Required Duties: Orders TestsOrders ImagesPrescribes**Trinity Health does not reimburse for credentialing costs or application fees.**

Submission Requirements

Board Certified/Board Eligible - RequiredActive MA License is required or pending (in process) - RequiredNeeds active DEA and Massachusetts controlled substance license - RequiredExperience with following radiation techniques: 3D conformal, IMRT, SBRT and SRS (No brachy needed) Experience with following software is preferred but not required: Pinnacle, Velocity, Mosaiq and EpicWill be asked to see both inpatient and outpatient consults, do treatment planning, see weekly on-treatment visits and follow up patientsWill participate in weekly Tumor BoardsLooking for someone with excellent communication skills who works well with patients and staffLooking for someone who documents accurately and promptly in the EMRConversion rate cap 25k- REQUIRED
