Description

Practice Setting: Hospital-based cancer center. Outpatient services. Onsite lab, diagnostics, and pharmacy.
Reason for Coverage: New program growth
Dates of Coverage: Oct 7, 2024 for ~10 months
Call Ratio: 1:5
Patient Population for Required Coverage: Adult, Geriatric
Percentage of Practice: Assume 50% Hematology and 50% Oncology
Number of Physicians in Practice: 7 across 2 locations
APPs Provide Coverage: ~10
Average Number of Outpatient Per Day: 10-15
Average Number of Hospital Patients Per Day: 15
Clinical Area: Oncology - Outpatient
Trauma Level/Designation: Level 2 Trauma
Documentation System/EMR: Epic

Procedures Required

  • Chemotherapy - Intrathecal
  • Chemotherapy - Intracavitary - Intrplueral/Peritoneal
  • FNA/Biopsy
  • Mgmt. of VAD/CV Catheters

Administration of Chemotherapy: Physician orders. Nurse Administers

Duties Required

  • Participation on a Tumor Board
  • Orders Test
  • Orders Images
  • Prescribes

Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: Med Staff: can issue temp credentials by start date. Payer enrollment 120 days

Submission Requirements

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Board Certified/Board Eligible in Hematology/Oncology - REQUIRED

BLS - REQUIRED

MI License - Highly Preferred (will accept those willing to obtain state license)
