Description

Schedule/Availability Requirements:

 

Shift times: 24hr call 7a-7a

October 4-6, 17, 18, and 28-31

 

Facility Location: Saint Joseph Mount Sterling

Setting: Small rural facility with level one nursery. Available rooms consist of 1 triage room, 2 labor rooms, 1 c-section suite, and 6 postpartum rooms.

EMR: Epic

Support Staff: Anesthesia staff, Certified Nurse Midwife, experienced labor and delivery staff nurses (experience ranges from 5-27 years)

Reason for Coverage: Locum not returning, have some gaps

Submission Requirements

**Note the following requirements during the credentialing process:** Board Certification (must be within 5 years post-training) and a Kentucky license are mandatory. Fellowship training must be completed through a residency program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education or its equivalent in obstetrics. A clean malpractice history is highly preferred. Availability at the time of name clearance is essential. During credentialing, additional certifications such as DEA, BLS, and ACLS are required. BLS certification is necessary, but higher certifications like ACLS may be required depending on the privileges requested, such as for moderate sedation.
