Description

Dates Currently Open (all shifts end the following day at 7a): 

  • Oct 16-17
  • Dec 19-28
  • Ongoing 2025 dates to those that can help cover these urgent Oct & Dec shifts


Duration:
 Stretches of at least 7 days/month

Assignment: Physician working in clinic during the week seeing ob/gyn patients for new obstetrics, established obstetrics, new gynecology issues, and surgical consultations. Surgical blocks are twice per week for non-emergent surgeries. Call is 24-hour shifts from 7 am to 7 am and includes all obstetrics as well as emergency gynecology and obstetrics cases.

  • Setting: Clinic and Inpatient Call
  • FTE: 0
  • Required Procedures/Job Duties: All ob/gyn procedures including more than 5 c-section in last 24 months & more than 5 hysterectomies in last 24 months. - FMOBs - 100 C-Sections and 50 Deliveries minimum.
  • EMR: EPIC
  • Support Staff: Lab Tech, LPN/LVN, MA, X-ray Tech, RN. Physicians working with CRNA's and midwives
  • Reason for Coverage: 2 vacancies
  • Dealbreakers: Will NOT consider candidates wishing to do clinic only!

    EMR Required Training: 

    • Module (learn lessons) –Must be completed prior to virtual EMR training to attend the training.
    • EMR Virtual training –Only able to attend if Modules are completed before training. Virtual training must be completed before the provider’s first day and is only available Mon-Fri for scheduling.

  • Census: Patient population, Adult, Adolescent; Number of beds, 10; Admissions, Clinic 16-25; inpatient 3-6
  • Additional Info: NICU available staffed with neonatal nurse practitioner with tele-neonatologist back-up.
  • Facility has back-up with skilled general surgeons & urologist
  • St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City also has critical care physicians and cardiologists.
  • Do you know how many births each facilities does approximately each year?   50 births a year for each facility
  • As well as what NICU level each facility has? NICU level 2 for Garden only, No NICU at Dodge

 

Submission Requirements

To be considered and avoid redirection, please note the following in the additional submission details at the time of name clearance:

- Upload the complete presentation with rates when the name is cleared.
- Board Certification in OBGYN or FMOB is required, or candidates must be truly Board Eligible within 0-5 years of completing residency.
- An active Kansas License is highly preferred; candidates should be open to obtaining the license if not already held.
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- An active Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration is necessary for credentialing; the site may consider a transferred DEA, but it must be maintained for the entire duration of the assignment, not just for the shifts worked.
- Candidates must acknowledge their understanding of the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) training requirements as outlined in the job description and commit to completing them to avoid delaying their start date.
- A clean malpractice history is highly preferred.
- Procedure logs are mandatory at the time of presentation. Providers failing to include procedure case logs will not be presented to the site. Logs must include a minimum of 5 hysterectomies and 5 C-sections.
