Schedule/Availability Requirements:

9/30(7a)-10/7(7a)

10/14(7a)-10/21(7a)

24 hour call with hospital rounding in house for 8 hours--procedures and rounding.  Rounding time is dependent on how many patients are on consultative service at the time, but flexible.

There will not be another Gastroenterologist present while the locum is on assignment.
Locums will not be supervising other healthcare providers

Required Procedures:
Colonoscopy
Biopsy
Polypectomy
Proctoscopy / Flexible Sigmoidoscopy
Hemorrhoidal Banding
Upper GI Endoscopy
PEG
Esophageal Variceal Banding
Banding Lesions - Management of acute GI bleed
Dilation
HIGHLY PREFERRED: ERCP
Management of hospitalized GI patients

EMR: EPIC
Practice Type: Hospital and Call Coverage Only No Clinic
Credentialing ideally  - 60 to 90 days

ERCP volumes? (this is key for him, since volumes are declining at his perm and he wants to maintain his proficiency) ERCP one to two per week
General/other procedure volumes? Other volumes vary. But I would think one to two scopes per day.
NP support? No NP support

Is there another doc on or is locum solo? Solo locum. No clinic.

What type of support staff is there? How many NP/PA, RNs, and Endotechs? It is hospital call only. So in the endoscopy room they have RN's and CRNA's
What is the average number of scopes? Hospital you will have 1 to 2 scopes per day
What is the average number of new patient consults per day? 1 to 2
What is the average number of patients to round on per day? 5 to 6

Presentation submission requirements includes the information that must be sent over in the presentation packet to have your provider presentation reviewed and presented to the client. Strict adherence to these guidelines will allow for the fastest path to getting your providers accepted. To process the best presentations, Account Coordinators and Account Managers will kickback presentations that do not include the information below (if it has not been discussed already). If you are unable to include something in the presentation, detail why and the plan to get it sent over. Account Managers and Account Coordinators will take this into account as they review the presentation, though they still reserve the right to redirect it back to the vendor if they deem it necessary.
