Description

Must be able to adhere to the following schedule:

  • Monday- Friday 7a-3p, with on call 1 weeks a month and 1 on call per week minimum
  • Hospital Based practice
  • Day coverage they need 2x-3x physicians each day
  • For night coverage they need 1x physician and 1x CRNA (THEY CAN TAKE CALL FROM HOME) OB call is minimal, they get a post call day off.
  • General Anesthesia providers is fine.
  • CRNA supervision is 1 physician to 3 CRNAs
  • Case Mix- General Surgery, Endoscopy, Vascular, OB, Ortho, Bariatric Surgery, UroGyn
  • NO hearts, NO Neurosurgery, NO Thoracic
  • No travel- they will only need to cover 1x campus- Samaritan Hospital
  • EMR: Epic
  • Provider will be responsible for supervising CRNAs.
  • Adult patient population: low volume of pediatric cases
  • Credentialing timeframe: 2-3 months with an active NY license in hand
  • 7 ORs
  • 100 deliveries per month, but the epidural rate is low (hence the large midwifery program), section rate is 15%
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
  • Board Certified or BE within 5 years of residency - Required (can only accept American boards)
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS - Required
  • NY license - Required
  • Covid-19 Vaccination - Required - verbal confirmation required at name clear - will NOT accept religious/medical exemptions!
  • Please submit availability at the time of presentation - Required
  • ADVISE ON THE BELOW:

Please confirm your provider can commit to these expectations:

  • Must do 2 call shifts per week
  • Must commit to 1 48-hour call weekend per month
  • Vacations/time off request - Needed at the time of presentation
  • Preferred Rotation - Needed at the time of presentation
  • Preferred hrs to work (8, 10, 12hrs) - Needed at the time of presentation
  • # of days each week (also would they like more shifts if interested/open) - Needed at the time of presentation

OB – epidurals.  MDs must start epidurals, CRNAs can continue
